Azzedine Alaïa | Manolo Blahnik | Neil Lane
Rihanna has arrived at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards! She looks absolutely stunning in her long red gown with sheer paneling and a criss-cross neckline, that is custom made by Azzedine Alaïa. Rihanna brought along her style team for the show, using her faithful make up artist Mylah Morales , epic manicurist Kimmie Kyees, and trusty hair stylist Ursula Stephen. Ursula reveals that she brought back Rihanna’s “middle part” for this event, which certainly gave her a youthful glow reminiscent of her style during her teenage years. When asked if this beautiful gown was her first choice by Ryan Seacrest, Rihanna had this to say:
“Uh yeah! I walked in and it was pretty much on the mirror. He sent me a couple dresses that he worked on and this one was just stunning! I liked the A line I don’t usually do that”
Rihanna finished her look off with ankle strap “Chaos” sandals designed by Manolo Blahnik and jewelry by Neil Lane. She reportedly wore $2 MILLION in jewels from Neil. Rihanna’s manicurist Kimmie, revealed that she used a combination of ‘Ooo La Licious’ and ‘Red Carpet Reddy’ from Red Carpet Manicure, both of which you can purchase from RCM’s site below, on her nails. Kimmie took to her website (here) to speak on the look she used for Rihanna. (She also did Katy Perry & Adele’s manicures) This is what she had to say:
“The day of the Grammy’s I did RiRi!!! She looked memorizing on the carpet … like can’t take your eyes off her HOT!! She wanted the nails and lips to match and she had ideas in her head !! So to achieve that stunning orange red we came up with a layered concoction using 2 Red Carpet Manicure colors …. OOO La Licision was our base giving us the orange we needed … and on top we finished it off with a gorgeous red that is a bit on the sheer side we applied 2 light layers so that we could still get the orangey effect from the base color.. The top shade was called Red Carpet Reddy….. How fitting !!! We talked about changing her nails for her performance but she loved the red so much she wanted to keep it !!”
She is already a winner tonight, winning the award for Best Short Form Music Video for her smash, “We Found Love”. If you missed all the details on what Rihanna wore to the Pre-Grammy Brunch hosted by Roc Nation, visit this post (here).
Ryan Seacrest asked Rihanna, “What does it mean to have all of that success in such a short period of time at a relatively young age?” She humbly responded:
“It blows my mind. It’s a lot to really grasp hold on what’s happening. Really, I just can’t believe it. I can’t BELIEVE the success that I’m having. I’m just really grateful, more than grateful. It’s surpassed everything I dreamed of, it’s exciting.”
Ryan revealed that they will be exclusively unveiling the new video for Rihanna’s newest single, “Stay” tomorrow. He asked her to tell him about the video. She explained:
“The video was really really simple. I pretty much stayed put in a bathtub and we shot it really tight, really close. There is Mikky Ekko in the video as well. This is the first time I’ve ever collaborated with him so I’m excited about that. He’s actually the one who wrote the song and I kinda just fell in love with it so much and in love with the tone of his voice, so we wanted to keep him a part of it so you’ll see him in the video”
Rihanna’s make up artist Mylah Morales took to her Facebook account (here) to reveal the Mac products used for Rihanna’s make up. She posted:
“I used Cherry liner to line her lips, Ruby Woo & Lady Danger in the center to create dimension.”

Rihanna continued describing the song as emotional and very personal. She says its like a story, that needs to be powerful and authentic. In the photo above, Rihanna is seated next to Chris Brown, who wore an all-white suit designed by Lanvin.
Rihanna Overdose exclusive! Katy Perry and Rihanna pictured above inside the Grammys! Katy was radiant at the Grammy’s in her dress from Gucci’s Resort 2013 Collection. She couldn’t wait to see Rihanna, saying that she hadn’t seen Rihanna face to face in about six months! If you missed that video, watch it (here). We hope the gal pals had a chance to catch up! Rihanna snags a photo with the lovely Adele, who showed up in a dress from Maison Valentino’s Spring 2013 Couture Collection. Kimmie Kyees also did Adele’s manicure, using OPI Kreme De La Kremlin with Nail Envy Matte top coat and shiney french tips using top coat. View both Rihanna & Adele on Instagram (here). You may remember that Rihanna revealed that she adores Adele, but finds that listening to ‘Someone Like You’ is too difficult for her. When being interviewed on the Jonathan Ross show last year she said:
“The last album ’21′ just spoke to me so much — to the point where I had to stop listening to it ’cause it was depressing me so much. You become so attached to the stories, it’s really something you identify with.”
“Really I came to the Brits to stalk Adele. It was nothing about the awards or the performance, for me it was just to see Adele again. She doesn’t know the depth of my affection, just the surface. She has no idea.”
Vintage Azzedine Alaïa | Neil Lane | Manolo Blahnik
Rihanna took to the Grammys stage for the first of two times to perform her second single, Stay. She not only looked beautiful, but she sang beautifully as well. Rihanna wore another dress from designer Azzedine Alaïa. This time she wore a vintage dress from the 80’s. Her stylist, Mel Ottenberg, said that this dress was picked out from Alaïa’s Paris archive. The look is from the mid-80’s but still has a modern feel! Mel even reveals that the dress didn’t need a stitch of alterations! Rihanna complimented her vintage ensemble with jewelry by Neil Lane and suede BB pumps by Manolo Blahnik.
Luciano Soprani | Manolo Blahnik | Jennifer Fisher
Rihanna shut the Grammys stage down once more in her second and last performance of the night. She graced the stage to honor one of her idols, the late great Bob Marley, with Sting, Damien Marley, Ziggy Marley, and Bruno Mars. She wore a mid-drift baring ensemble designed by Luciano Soprani with rings from jeweler Jennifer Fisher, and sandals by Manolo Blahnik.
Rihanna’s stylist Mel Ottenberg, again provides plenty of info on this look. He said that this outfit is from the 90’s. The look was on the inspiration board, and by a slip of fate they were able to get the real thing in Italy!
Rihanna was spotted backstage at the Grammys with Amber Rose. Heavy with child, she looked amazing in her getup designed by Donna Karen. View both Rihanna and Amber on Instagram (here).
Adam Selman | Manolo Blahnik | Jennifer Fisher | Amy Zerner
After the Grammy’s Rihanna attended an after party held at Mozza restaurant in Los Angeles. She then went to Supperclub Nightclub with Chris Brown. She wore a beautiful white sleeveless top and skirt designed by Adam Selman. She kept warm in a tan coat. She accessorized with white ankle strap pumps designed by Manolo Blahnik. Rihanna opted for a few pieces designed by jewelers Jennifer Fisher and Amy Zerner. She wore Jennifer’s gold pinky ring with Pavé white diamonds and Amy’s Crystal Snake ring.
Once inside the Island Def Jam Grammy Party Sponsored By Samsung And Pepsi Rihanna was seen enjoying the company of Chairman & CEO of Island Def Jam and Universal Motown Republic Group Barry Weiss and Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy.
Rihanna also mingled with rap sensation Nas, who looked dapper in his Brioni tuxedo with a contrasting collar and diamond detail at the pocket.
