Rihanna was spotted at Barrington High School in Chicago:
Rihanna for River Island | Joseph | Air Jordan
Barrington High School won this visit from Rihanna, just hours before she is due to perform at the United Center, after winning a contest she sponsored. Rihanna invited schools to produce videos set to her smash single “Diamonds” that would highlight charitable work. The contest was intended to honor the most creative and inspiring lipdub or video that includes a giving back to your community (and world) message.
With a whole lot of polishing and collaboration, we can all shine bright like a diamond – Narrator of Barrington High’s Video.
Barrington High’s video, produced by students of the school’s TV class, created a video displaying a montage of shots that shed light on several different philanthropic initiatives that the school participates in. Among many other projects, (both local and nationwide) the school has assisted tornado victims in Joplin, Mo., and Natives American who live on a reservation in South Dakota.
Rihanna arrived at this event wearing a grey varsity jacket that she designed for her River Island Collection. Rihanna wore this jacket during her 25th birthday festivities in Hawaii with Chris Brown (here) and again soon after arriving back home in Los Angeles (here). Rihanna coupled this jacket with a stretch leather pencil skirt designed by Joseph and a pair of Jordan’s. This form-fitting skirt is available for $795 at Net-A-Porter. In the photos above you will also notice that she is holding her Spring/Summer 2013 Collection JoyRich Python Pu Backpack.
