Rihanna attends the MTV Video Music Awards throughout her career:

Rihanna has been attending the MTV Video Music Awards since the start of her career in 2005 when she debuted on MTV’s red carpet in white pants and an embellished vest. She returned in 2006 wearing an all-white cocktail dress. Let’s revisit some of the looks that stole your heart in detail, starting with what she wore during the 2013 ceremony on August 25th.

Rihanna attended the 2013 VMA’S wearing a very casual get up. Although, she initially wasn’t going to attend, her relentless Navy has been pleading so here she is! Rihanna emerged in a Chapel NYC vintage MC Lyte t-shirt that features a black and white photo of MC Lyte with lyrics to one of her songs “Ruffneck”. Her sleeveless tee also features the song’s title on the back, check out a similar tee (here). She finished her look with Manolo Blahnik Chaos Sandals.

Rihanna complimented her top with her AW13′ River Island £50 ($125 US) Denim Wash Boyfriend Jeans. Her jeans feature her R’ logo at the pocket with a slouchy fit. Much like her jeans from her previous collection, these feature the signature black label on the back. Pre-order this piece at the link below! Rihanna also carried along her velvet Chanel bag.

As was promised, I have the exclusive details on Rihanna’s jewelry at the ceremony tonight. Thanks to Lynn Ban, we can reveal what she wore! It was related to me, that after Rihanna decided to attend the event around 1PM, Lynn Ban and her team had to scramble together pieces to compliment her casual look! They did an outstanding job. Here are the details:

Let’s discuss her plethora of rings first. Rihanna wore Lynn Ban’s White Diamond, as well as her Black Diamond Barbed Wire Ring on her index finger, along with a ring from Jennifer Fisher on her middle finger.

On her pinky, she wore Lynn Ban’s White Diamond Widow Spider Pinky ring that became very visible while posing with One Direction member, Harry Styles. She also wore Lynn’s Black Diamond Widow Spider ring.

On her other index finger, she sparkled in this White Diamond Gash Ring that was also designed by Lynn Ban. Of course, Rihanna also loves to wear vintage pieces as well! So let’s discuss her jewelry from decades ago.

Around her neck, Rihanna wore a Rhinestone Choker from Lynn Ban’s Archive from the 1950’s! She didn’t stop there! She also donned a Rhinestone Bracelet from Lynn’s 1950’s Archive on her wrist as well! How about her collection of cuffs? Let’s delve into those pieces to round off our jewelry recap.

Finally, on her arms she wore a host of bangles and cuffs from Lynn Ban. She opted for Lynn’s Black Diamond Gash Cuff and a Black Diamond Inverse Cuff.

Rihanna also wore bullet bangles! One of her Bullet Bangles is made of Silver and the other was of Rhodium Silver. What an amazing collection of work from Lynn!

Adam Selman | Neil Lane | Jacquie Aiche | Manolo Blahnik

In 2012, Rihanna dazzled on the red carpet when debuting a new short do in a get up from designer and collaborator for her collection with River Island, Adam Selman. Her white knot-detail gown featured an open back with a high neck. She complimented this custom design with Jacquie Aiche rings that were set off by her money print mink manicure from Kimmie Kyees, Neil Lane earrings and a classic pair of nude heels from Manolo Blahnik. Rihanna took home the coveted award for “Video of the Year” for her single, “We Found Love”.
