Rihanna performs at the 2012 iHeart Radio Music Festival:

Rihanna’s fashionable outfits have been and still are what most look forward to when she attends any given event. Earlier this week on Sunday, Rihanna made an appearance at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards, performing her hit, “The Monster” LIVE for the first time with Eminem. You can check out what she wore (here) and watch the performance from our post (here). In light of these events, we’ll be discussing another performance look of hers for this week’s installment of Vintage RiRi. Let’s take a look at what she wore during her performance at the iHeart Radio Music Festival in 2012. She was styled by Mel Ottenberg with make up by Mylah Morales.

Rihanna began her look with a hat from Jeremy Scott’s collaborative efforts with New Era for his Spring 2013 Collection. Rihanna’s hat is made of faux crocodile skin and features the ‘New Era’ logo in gold on the side. If your interested in the ‘Smoked Purple’ lipstick she wore, you can purchase it from the MAC online store (here).

At the beginning of her performance, Rihanna emerged in these sunglasses designed by Henry Holland for Le Specs. These Muffin Top sunglasses proved to be a go-to accessory for Rihanna on several occasions in 2012, one of which, you can take a look at (here) from one of our previous Vintage RiRi posts.

Rihanna also wore this fashion-forward piece that was also featured on the runway of Jeremy Scott’s Spring 2013 Collection. Her 24K Mesh Metal Jersey Dress is sequined and features a large “23” on both the front and back, with Jeremy’s surname in bold letters across the back as well. In recent times, Rihanna has worn a dress, bomber jacket and a collaborative Melody Ehsani necklace from this ‘Arabic Spring’ collection. You can review the entire collection below.

Rihanna rounded off her look with Air Jordan sneakers. The model Rihanna wore is referred to as the Retro VII GS Golden Moments sneaker and the color way is Black/Metallic Gold-Sail. These shoes released on August 18th, 2012 and features a black leather and nubuck upper blended with gold accents on the midsole, branding, and liner. You can get a pair at Flight Club (here).

By way of jewelry, Rihanna went with a reptilian theme wearing serpent pieces from a few key jewelers. The first is her upper arm snake cuff from Susan Caplan. Then on her hands she wore a Pamela Love 3D ring, Amy Zerner’s $250.00 Serpent Ring and Emily Miranda’s Snakehead Ring (retailed price starting at $250.00). Rihanna also wore her Amy Zerner ring during her 777 Tour. You can read up on the detail of each of her outfits during this whirlwind tour (here).
